Join Snohomish County Government and Forefront Suicide Prevention for a FREE community suicide prevention training on Monday, April 23 from 5:30 - 8:15 p.m. at the Snohomish County Administrative Building located at 3000 Rockefeller Ave, Everett, WA 98201. Learn how to look for warning signs, empathize and listen, make a direct ask, remove the danger and take the next steps.
AVID, Advancement Via Individual Determination, is a kindergarten through postsecondary college readiness system designed to increase the number of students who enroll and succeed in higher education and in their lives beyond high school. The AVID elective class, which is offered at all of our middle and high schools, is intended to benefit those students who have the desire and potential to attend college but need additional academic and social supports. If you are interested in finding out more about AVID, we are having an Informational Night for parents and students TONIGHT, April 17 at 6 p.m. in the Board Room at the District Office. Need something fun and free to do TONIGHT? All are welcome to join the MPHS Life Skills Program and Leah's Dream Foundation at their spring event! There will be arts and crafts, games and activities, food and beverages and an open mic! You don't want to miss it!
Over Spring Break, 26 Marysville Getchell FBLA students competed in the Future Business Leaders of America State Business Leadership Conference in Bellevue. Students competed in events ranging from Accounting to Parliamentary Procedures and tested their skills against more than 2000 peers in Washington State. Marysville Getchell made their presence known by bringing home 16 awards! Way to go #Chargers!
#MSD25 Career and Technical Education middle and high school students will join industry professionals for the 2018 Trade Up and Touch a Truck event on April 26! Students identified in specific courses that directly tie to the represented industries will learn job-ready employability skills, make vital employment connections, and get up close and personal with exciting machinery and equipment!
