Community Shred-A-Thon, Saturday, April 28 9 a.m. – noon, Marysville City Hall 1049 State Avenue, Marysville, WA 98270. Customers are Limited to 6 file-size boxes of shreddables, clean Styrofoam recycling courtesy of Marysville Sunrise Rotary, Donate old computers/electronics to Marysville Arts and Technology High School. The Marysville Food Bank will also accept nonperishable food donations.

AVID, Advancement Via Individual Determination, is a kindergarten through postsecondary college readiness system designed to increase the number of students who enroll and succeed in higher education and in their lives beyond high school. The AVID elective class, which is offered at all of our middle and high schools, is intended to benefit those students who have the desire and potential to attend college but need additional academic and social supports. Students competed in events ranging from Accounting to Parliamentary Procedures and tested their skills against more than 2000 peers in Washington State. Marysville Getchell made their presence known by bringing home 16 awards! Way to go #Chargers!
