
February 10, 2022: This morning at approximately 6:25 there was a small fire in the band room at Marysville Pilchuck High School caused by a falling light fixture. The fire department responded and extinguished the fire. All students and staff are safe and school is on schedule.

January 26, 2022: Today at approximately 10:35 am as students were being released from school, there was a fight on the Marysville Pilchuck High School campus in which one of the participants brandished a knife before running off campus. School staff quickly contacted police and gathered any students still outside. The students were brought back into the building where the school went into a modified lockdown.
The suspect has since been taken into custody and the students remaining on campus have since been released. All students and staff are safe.

A follow up to the Totem bus incident to provide additional details: The bus slid on some ice and was on the edge of the road. Emergency responders arrived on the scene and students were safely evacuated. Students are being transported to Totem Middle School by a new bus.


We are aware of a bus incident on Waterworks Road on the Tulalip Reservation. This bus was carrying Totem Middle School students. All students are safe and have been evacuated. The fire department is transporting the students to the Tulalip Fire Station, where they will be picked up by a new bus and transported to Totem. Earlier this morning district security was notified regarding an alleged threat at Marysville Middle School. Security staff in partnership with Marysville Police have investigated and found there is no credible threat. Students and staff are safe. Out of an abundance of caution, there will be a police and security presence at the school for the remainder of the day.
