MP Drama Club Play

Need something to do on these upcoming rainy days? Add some sunshine to your day (or evening) by attending a play presented by the MP Drama Club with appearances by our amazing MP and MG students!

Marysville-Pilchuck High School Drama Club proudly presents “The Play That Goes Wrong (High School Edition)” playing November 3rd, 4th, 5th, 10th, 11th and 12th at 7:00 pm in the M-PHS auditorium located at 5611 108th Street NE, Marysville.

“The Play That Goes Wrong” originally opened in London in 2012 and went to Broadway in 2017.  It’s currently still playing in London and New York, and Marysville-Pilchuck High School is one of the first high schools in the United States to present this new version by Henry Lewis, Henry Shields and Jonathan Sayer.

“The Play That Goes Wrong” centers around the Cornley Drama Society putting on the play “The Murder at Haversham Manor.” From the very beginning, things start to go very, very hilariously wrong…hence the title of the show.

Appearing in the M-PHS production are students from both M-PHS and Marysville-Getchell High School.  Students Annie Brediger, Maisie Pagle, Denny Northrop, Christopher Ross, Kate Kolasinski, Bellatix Gooding, Nolan Crumrine and Angelina Saechao make up the Cornley Drama Society with Lili Sawyers, Ray Emerson, Anna Blanchard, Madison Boyd, Void Macwatters and Lilly Lovato as the inept Stage Crew. Many other students from both schools plus parents from the newly formed Drama Booster Club are helping being the scenes with tech, set building and more to make this show possible.

Ticket prices are $10 for adults and $8 for students with ASB, Senior Citizens and anyone else.  “The Play That Goes Wrong (High School Edition) is presented by arrangement with Dramatists Play Service under license from Mischief Worldwide LTD. Roy Klementsen, MP Drama teacher directed the play with assistance from Darren Oke, Cedarcrest Drama teacher.
