Due to power outages at schools across the system today, Dec. 17, Marysville School District will be closed.
All before and after-school activities and athletics are also canceled.

UPDATE: 12/15/25 1:12PM
We are happy to report that the power at all Marysville Tulalip Campus schools (Quil Ceda Tulalip Elementary, 10th Street Middle, Legacy and Heritage High Schools) has now been restored.
FOR YOUR INFORMATION:
The power is out at the Marysville Tulalip Campus, affecting Quil Ceda Tulalip Elementary, 10th Street Middle, as well as Heritage and Legacy High Schools.
According to our partners at PUD, a tree has fallen onto a power line, and there is no estimated timeline for power being restored.
However, school is still in session. MSD Leadership intends to dismiss students at the regular time today. Our bus service is uninterrupted.
We will continue to monitor the situation and share updates as they become available.

MSD Athletics Update:
Today's high school swim meet against Monroe has been canceled due to flooding and weather conditions in Monroe. The MSD swim team will have a regular practice instead.
Monroe wrestlers will also not be coming to tonight's wrestling event at Marysville Getchell.
Tomorrow's Heritage Hawks basketball games in White Swan are also canceled.
Marysville School District buses have so far been able to transport students to and from school safely. The MSD Transportation team expects that buses will continue to be able to pick up students safely tomorrow.
MSD Leadership does not anticipate any district-wide school closures or delays due to the weather, but will continue to monitor the situation overnight.
However, MSD schools are ready to provide flexibility with student tardies and absences for families who have been affected by flood road closures and evacuations.
Ultimately, our students' safety is our top priority.

The previously scheduled Tulalip Heritage Hawks basketball games at Concrete are canceled today due to flooding issues in Concrete.
Both games will be rescheduled for a later date.

UPDATE: The internet has been restored.
FOR YOUR INFORMATION: The Marysville School District is experiencing a district-wide internet outage this morning. Phones are still working.
Currently there is no timeline for internet being back up, but our tech team is actively working on this and collaborating with external providers to resolve this issue as quickly as possible. Thank you for your patience!

We want to extend our gratitude and thankfulness to everyone who showed up and supported our Tulalip Heritage Hawks football team on Saturday night. With the convincing win and the efforts of our boys supported by everyone in our community, our season looks very promising! Congratulations to our new head coach Sean Custus for leading our boys to victory!
We also want to extend special thanks and recognition to our volunteers who helped make the event a success; Bubba Fryberg and Jay Davis, specifically, amongst other people who helped with the chains, score clock, ticket gate, and general support.
It truly takes a village to make each, and every athletic event a success, if you or anyone in your family has a talent or willingness to help we would greatly appreciate your volunteer efforts! We will even train you.
Please contact our Athletic Coordinator, Lonnie Enick or the Heritage High School office if you are available and willing to help us! We still need all the help we can get for Volleyball and the upcoming Basketball Seasons.
Sincerely,
Gina Bluebird, THHS Principal

A Message from the Principal
"Welcome to Tulalip Heritage High School! I am honored to serve as principal and athletic director of a school that is deeply rooted in culture, community, and student voice. As an Oglala Lakota tribal member and long-time educator, I have spent the past seven years at Quil Ceda Tulalip Elementary, where I built strong connections with students and families that I am excited to continue at Heritage. At our school, we embrace Big Picture Learning and Expeditionary Learning, where every student’s passions, strengths, and goals guide their education. I look forward to partnering with families, the Tulalip Tribes, and the Marysville School District to support our students as they grow in knowledge, leadership, and cultural pride."
