MSD Update and Information

September 7, 2021

Dear MSD Families and Staff,

As we bring our students back to campus this week, the district would like you to be aware of policies and guidelines related to reporting incidents of harassment, intimidation, and bullying, along with incidents of hate and bias through the Administrative Guidelines for Addressing Hate and Bias in Schools (Spanish). The purpose of these documents is to ensure that staff, students, and families have common definitions for these terms and clear expectations for how to report incidents when they occur.

We also want to remind you of our online reporting system - SafeSchools. This reporting system allows you multiple ways to report any incidents through the following link:  https://msvl-wa.safeschoolsalert.com/

Additionally, we have included our COVID-19 Safety Handbook (Spanish). This Handbook outlines all school-wide preventative health measures, along with procedures related to reporting COVID-19 cases, testing, and quarantine requirements. More details can be found on the COVID-19 Health and Safety web page at https://www.msd25.org/page/covid-19-health-and-safety

Note: The email and linked documents have been electronically translated to expedite communication. Please forgive any misrepresentations of words or phrases. If you would like to receive school and district communications in English, please contact your child’s school. Each of the web links included may be translated on the websites by choosing the language option from the dropdown menu. Thank you.
