Digital Application Upgrade Increases Volunteerism in Schools

After three months of using a digital process, the District has efficiently processed almost 300 new volunteer applications.

Msvl. WA - In November 2023, the Marysville School District’s Volunteer Application process received a significant digital makeover, making it more efficient and user-friendly. We are excited to announce that nearly 300 electronic adult and student volunteer applications have been processed since then. Volunteers in our schools make a positive difference in the lives of children.

Instead of paper, the digital application makes it easier for individuals to sign up and contribute to our community schools. Applicants can complete the new electronic form on any smart device by visiting www.msd25.org/volunteer. The form is translatable in multiple languages. Each applicant must read the District’s Volunteer Handbook on the webpage. The application requires a copy of a current State-issued driver’s license or photo ID card. Applicants should be prepared to upload an image of their license or ID card and note that completing the Volunteer Application will begin a criminal history background check with the Washington State Patrol (WSP). Only WSP-cleared volunteers are eligible to volunteer in our schools. When the applicant is cleared and approved, they will receive an email notification.

While paper packets will still be available upon request, we encourage everyone to utilize the digital form. If you have any questions about volunteering in the Marysville School District, please use the dedicated Let’s Talk topic or email volunteer@msd25.org.
