Marysville Pilchuck High School Memorial in Development: Honoring Lives Lost in 2014 Tragedy
The Marysville School District is working with families, students, and community members to plan for a memorial to be placed at the school in remembrance of the students who lost their lives on October 24, 2014.

Msvl. WA - Nearly a decade has passed since the Marysville Pilchuck High School community suffered an immense loss. In remembrance of students Andrew Fryberg, Gia Soriano, Shaylee Chuckulnaskit, and Zoe Galasso, the school district is collaborating with families, students, and community members to create a permanent memorial at the school.

With the 10-year mark approaching, the planning committee plans to unveil the memorial in time to honor the lives of these young individuals. Initial discussions have involved the families of the victims, school administrative staff, and the district. The committee will engage student groups at MPHS, staff, and community members, providing them with a platform to share their perspectives and ideas.

Throughout this process, thoughtful planning and decision-making will be paramount. The Marysville School District Foundation will accept donations to fund the memorial, and donation opportunities will be available soon. Check the district website events calendar (www.msd25.org) for the next meeting date and details.
