MRS. VADSET

My name is Sheela Vadset, this is my third year with the behavior program and my sixth year with the district overall. I graduate from Grand Canyon University with my bachelors degree in Special Education/ Elementary Education and I am currently working on my Masters degree in Special Education this year. In my free time I love to take pictures and spend time with my family. I enjoy watching football and the Seahawks are my favorite team!

Safe Start is part of the districts behavior program that is housed at Allen Creek. I am currently serving kindergarten, first grade, and second graders this year. The purpose of the behavior program is to provide classrooms for children with significant behavioral needs, they are designed to provide a system of supports to address the needs of individual students and focus on teaching behavior and social skills. The behavior program provides a focused instructional/intervention model to help close the academic performance gap between the student’s level of academic performance and grade appropriate standards. The Behavior Program will teach appropriate behavior and pro-social skills to students in a culturally responsive manner, which will allow them to succeed in school and post secondary pursuits.
