Cedarcrest Middle School hosted a Career Fair for 8th-grade students and all AVID-enrolled students on Friday, January 24. Students had the opportunity to participate in four different rotations. One of those rotations included guest speaker Dr. Malik Fuimaono who spoke about growing up in poverty in Samoa and how he managed to overcome many obstacles to become an Associate Cheif Hospitalist. In the other rotations, students got to hear from high school counselors and spend time talking with career experts and college and career programs so students could begin to think about their high school experience and life after high school. There were over 30 business professionals and 9 colleges represented at the fair.
