| Mr. Rants has been the
director
of the Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band (POC), Concert Band, Percussion
Ensemble, Jazz Ensembles and Music Technology classes, as well as being
the
Marching Band and Colorguard instructor since 2004. In his professional
career, he
has taught in the Lakewood, Highland and South Whidbey School
Districts. As an Audio Technician, he has worked in both live and
studio venues with such artists as Dione Warwick, The Gatlin Brothers,
Jackson Browne, The Kingtson Trio, The Coasters and The Platters. He
also has 10 years experience as an Electronics Technician operating a
factory authorized repair facility for Korg and Yamaha keyboards, as
well as Marshall and Peavey amplifiers. He holds his Masters of
Education Technology (2002) from City University, Bachelors of Music
(1993) from Western Washington University and Associates of Arts (1990)
from Whatcom Community College.Mr. Rants is also the President of the
Mount Pilchuck Music Educators Association, a region of the Washington
