About our School Pinewood is a community school in the heart of Marysville. We have an experienced, skilled and caring staff. We create a positive learning environment and support systems to ensure that all children learn and achieve at high levels. We recognize that each student is a unique individual with strengths and areas to build on and we provide a continuum of remediation and enrichment activities. The district's Elementary Highly Capable program is located at Pinewood and serves about 100 students with an accelerated & expanded curriculum. We have a character education program that teaches students about honesty, compromise and compassion through literature and monthly themes. We focus on teaching students problem-solving skills they can use to relate well with others and solve problems as they arise.
