After serving over 40 years in education, nine of which have been with the Marysville School District, Superintendent Larry Nyland announces his plans to retire at the end of the school year.

In a heartfelt letter written to district staff, Dr. Nyland wrote “I came to Marysville nearly nine years ago filled with hopes and dreams as well as fears and apprehensions. I prayed for a home in Marysville, a good leadership team, and 1000s of prayERs that would support our schools and our community. God delivered even more than I hoped. Our leadership team works well together. Principals and teachers are making good things happen in our schools. And I love my 5-minute commute. I have also discovered that God had people praying for Marysville long before I came!” Dr. Larry Nyland

Much has been accomplished in the district during Dr. Nyland’s tenure; together we have written a new story for Marysville...read more in the attached News Release and Notes from Larry - a letter to staff and the community.
