Levy Facts and Information

The Marysville School District Board of Directors recently adopted two resolutions to place two proposals on the February 11, 2014 ballot.
The first proposal is a request to replace the district's Educational Programs Maintenance and Operations Levy which expires at the end of the 2014 tax year.  This levy supports 20% of day-to-day school operations in the following areas:  Classroom teachers, support staff, and smaller class size, classroom and school basics, and activities and fine arts.  This measure is not a new tax but replaces an expiring levy.
The second proposal would support student learning through technology - a critical skill in the 21st Century.  Levy dollars would be utilized to prepare students for the future in the areas of district-wide improvements for learning, WiFi, cables, and power, and safety and security.
